A woman from northern B.C. who said her mother was at risk of possibly losing her foot, or even her life, is now being moved to get treatment in Prince George.
Rebecca Onstein’s 82-year-old mother, Sheron Onstein, was injured in a car accident on Sept. 1.
Since then, an infection on her ankle dramatically worsened. Rebecca Onstein said doctors told her that the ankle needed to be treated at the hospital in Prince George.
On Thursday, Rebecca laid out her concerns. She said the family was told there was no available bed at the University Hospital of Northern B.C. in Prince George.
On Friday, however, Global News learned that Sheron Onstein is on her way to Prince George for treatment.
