Hurricane Fiona: ‘Difficult to say’ how long N.S. power outages could last, working to restore quickly as possible

Matt Drover with Nova Scotia Power said Friday it was "difficult to say" how long power outages from the impacts of hurricane Fiona could last, however, he said their first duty would be to get crews staged around the province to restore hydro as quickly as possible. He said once the storm has hit, they would get crews out to assess and determine the level of damage. Drover added that downed wires and emergencies would be the first priority, followed by hospitals and public health, and then residential areas.
